About Us
Kaimai Law Katikati began its life as the firm Edmonds Marshall Burcher, whose principal office is situated at Matamata. The Matamata office was opened in 1918. In 1985 Richard Burcher, one of its resident partners, shifted to Katikati where he opened the Katikati branch of the firm. In 2003 the branch office split away from Edmonds Marshall Burcher becoming the firm Kaimai Law, and had two partners Richard Burcher and Angus Budge.
In 2006 Kaimai Law opened its Bethlehem branch. In 2007 Richard Burcher resigned from the partnership to pursue other interests.
In 2010 Angus Budge retired from law to begin theological training in Inverness, Scotland and in so doing, sold the Katikati office of Kaimai Law to its present owner Kit Robbins.
Kit was born in Tauranga and has been practising law on his own account in Katikati since 1989.
